Vigilant, observant, compassionate- Understanding the Behavioral Pattern of Pets

Behavioral Pattern of Pets

Understanding how your pets behave and what they mean can make you a much better pet owner and a loving one too. It is never easy to understand let alone interpret them. An untrained dog or a misbehaving dog not only shows that you are an irresponsible owner but is a nuisance to the people living around you. Many apartment complexes do not entertain dog owners for this sole purpose. There are lots of things to consider when it comes to understanding your pet’s behavior. The breed and character is something to consider. Most of the dogs show anger or aggression mostly out of fear. They usually live according to a give and take policy, although majority of the pet’s give more than we give.

We can easily make out if a dog if a dog is happy when you see a healthy dog coming up to you wagging its tail and jumping at your presence. A lazy or an unhealthy dog would not move from its place. An idle dog is more likely to get aggressive than an active dog. An unhealthy dog would also not eat properly, shed hair and would lose a lot of weight. At such times it is better to take your dog to the vet and get all the medication required to get your dog back its health.

There have been lots of research and studies on the behavioral pattern of pets but no conclusive evidence has been recorded. Each behavioral pattern differs because of the difference in breed, character and age.  It is very important that all pet owners take special steps to learn and understand their pets. Teach them obedience with love and care and this will guarantee you a fun loving and happy dog that will keep you happy too.
